We need Transition Leaders to help setup this group voluntarily at first as a steering group to get members, then eventually voted in:
1. President- Have vote on projects, preside over meetings, Calls meeting to order/end
2. Vice -President - Help in setting up agenda, back's up president. Helps with marketing their town group.
3. Secretary - Take meeting notes, setup communication between members, sets up next events.
4. Treasury- Set's up a budget, keeps track of donations as well as expenditure.
This group will host videos, set-up conferences, Host town open spaces, prepare their own town projects but will receive a network of support from other towns as well as leadership. Learn more about the transition as well as how to set-up your own town group here.
Feel free to utilize this group to begin a steering group- Start setting up local events, offer to become part of the steering group to initiate community interest towards a transition town group creation.

For people with smaller yards, community garden plots are a great option. And the city of Tarpon is working towards designing community gardens into our city.. but they do need some active citizen to speed up the process.
